BJP govt effigy burnt in rajahmundry
Rajamahendravaram: TDP organised a protest rally here on Monday, protesting the step-motherly attitude of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards Andhra Pradesh.
The rally started from Kotipalli bus station and ended at Fort Gate passing through main road. The TDP activists raised slogans against BJP and burnt the effigy of BJP government.
Participating in the rally, MLC Adireddy Appa Rao and Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna alleged that after TDP quitting NDA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was posing problems to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and also hampering the development of the state by not sanctioning funds.
The duo said the people of the state would show their might to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the forthcoming elections. Naidu was trying to bring all parties under one roof at national-level to teach a lesson to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they said.
Former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao had created panic in Congress government at the Centre when he was dethroned. Now, Naidu was also doing the same with the support of other parties, they added.
The TDP had contested along with BJP in 2014 elections for the development of the state but in vain. Naidu was an able administrator and know how to deal these things, they added.
Mayor PRS Sai, deputy mayor VR Babu, RM Rao, A Vasu, KS Rao and many others were present.
