Fight for bifurcation benefits will continue: Minister Jawahar
Eluru: Minister for Excise KS Jawahar has said the TDP will continue to fight with the Centre until promises made under bifurcation act are fulfilled.
He took part in a protest against the Centre’s step-motherly attitude in extending benefits to Andhra Pradesh here on Monday.
The minister said that they were intensifying fight against the Centre all over the nation to ensure the injustice meted out to Andhra Pradesh should not happen to any other state.
The BJP had cheated people of the State by false promises. The Centre had denied Special Category Status to the state. It was creating troubles to the state marching ahead for achieving development.
For TDP, development of the state matters most and it would move ahead with like-minded forces, he added.
MP Maganti Babu alleged that the Centre was resorting to witch-hunt and intensified raids on sympathizers of the TDP.
The TDP would face the acts of vendetta with courage and continue pooling support against evil designs of the BJP, he said.
Mayor Noorjahan, MLA Badeti Bujji and others were present.
Meanwhile, in Bhimavaram, MLA Ramanjaneyulu and MP Thota Sitaramalakshmi took part in the protest dharna at Prakasam Chowk. Earlier, a rally was taken out in the town.
