ACB raids house of tainted Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector’s driver

Visakhapatnam: Continuing the raid on the premises of the driver and some others of the tainted Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector S Venkata Rao, the ACB teams led by DSP of CIU, P Ramadevi on Tuesday searched Venkata Rao’s personal driver P Mohan Rao and Mohan Rao’s relative Kiran Kumar’s houses and unearthed three suitcases of documents.

The seized documents relate to Rs1.07 crore fixed deposits in various banks, 23 cents of land at Aripaka, 45 cents of land at Bangarajupalem, 2.4 acres land at Aripaka under Sabbavaram Mandal in Vizag district. 

The properties were registered in Venkata Rao name and his relatives’ names. The ACB officials also seized signed blank promissory notesand  non-judicial stamps, said DSP of ACB (CIU) P Ramadevi.

According to the ACB officials, the  total official value of the properties of Venkata Rao seized so far is around Rs 5 crore, and the market value could be around  Rs.50 crore. Meanwhile, the ACB official found 3 kg gold and about 10 kg silver and other valuables in various bank lockers of the accused official on Monday.
