Adikavi Nannaya University girls team for basketball tourney

Rajamahendravaram: A 12-member girls team of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) is participating in South Zone Women Basketball Tournament scheduled to be held in SRM University of Chennai from November 9 to 11. AKNU registrar Dr T Ashok wished the team members to come with flying colors in the tournament. The university was giving priority to sports and games and encouraging the students in this regard. 

The girl students were also proving their might in district and state-level tournaments relating to the university-affiliated colleges in twin Godavari districts. He advised the students to participate in tournaments which also increase competitive spirit setting aside defeat and victory of the students. The parents should also encourage their children to play sports, he added.
