Pawan Kalyan promises docs to improve PHC system
Kakinada: Several prominent specialist doctors and senior physicians strongly advocated for development of cluster system for effective running of primary health centers (PHCs) in rural sector in AP. They expressed the opinion at the meet of the doctors organized by Jana Sena Party on Monday. They discussed extension of medical services and the problems of doctors in discharging their duties in government hospitals in rural and urban sectors particularly in PHCs.
Starting the debate, former DME and former V-C of NTR Health University Dr IV Rao suggested for development of clusters at a nearby town to PHCs so as to enable the doctors work at these PHCs. Dr SSC Chakra Rao, retired DMHO, Dr SVS Rao, senior urology specialist and others expressed similar opinions. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan who gave a patient hearing to doctors’ opinion said that this was noteworthy suggestion and said that the JSP will strongly advocate for its implementation.
