2-day CME commences on Nov 09 in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: A two-day workshop and Continuing Medical Education (CME) on ‘Hands on Cadaveric course on Pelvi-acetabular basic Fracture Fixation’, will be organised jointly by the Department of Orthopedics, Siddhartha Medical College (SMC) and the Government General Hospital (GGH), Vijayawada on Friday and Saturday.
Dr D Venkatesh of SMC told the media here on Thursday that the programme would be held on the SMC premises. The Department of Anatomy in SMC and AllMS, Mangalagiri has been extending cooperation for the event. It is designed to train the participants on bone models and cadavers. He said that for the first time this kind of course is conducted in Andhra Pradesh.
Eminent trauma surgeons from across the country are being invited as faculty along with post graduate students from all the 13 districts of AP and also from Telangana state would participate in the workshop and CME.
He said that a live transmission was also arranged to lecture hall from anatomy dissection hall for the post-graduate students along with hands on training to delegates, he added. About 150 doctors have registered for the programme. GGH Superintendant Dr S Babulal, Dr Naik, Dr C Shyam Kumar and others were present.
