3 arrested for robbing valuables

Nellore: Vedayapalem police arrested three accused late on Wednesday who were luring people through prostitution and looting them. Circle Inspector of Vedayapalem K Narasimha Rao said, interacting with the media on Thursday, that Konga Srinivasulu, Mokkala Sarala of Chandrababu Nagar and Vidavalur Munni alias Jareena of Venkateswarapuram in city teamed up to rob people in the guise of prostitution.

On Nov 1, Pinni Srinivasulu of Sundaraiah Colony in Divipalem panchayat of Gudur mandal boarded an auto of Srinivasulu at Atmakur bus stand in Nellore city at 9.30 pm. At RTC bus complex, two women joined them. They lured Srinivasulu who was from Gudur and forcibly took him to Chandrababu Nagar and looted valuables like gold ring, cash of Rs 10,000 and a mobile phone.

He lodged a complaint with the Vedayapalem police and they registered a case. Police personnel, who launched search operations finally arrested them late on Wednesday and recovered the gold ring, cash of Rs 3,000, mobile phone and an auto from the accused.
