Rajamahendravaram: SC/ST Commission Chairman Karem Sivaji  said that he is interested to contest in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Speaking to media persons at R & B Guest house here on Thursday, he said that though he is interested to contest the polls, a decision will be taken as per the directions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The BJP government at the Centre is trying to destabilise the elected governments in AP, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala states by hook or crook, he stated.

``The BJP government miserably failed to fulfill the assurances made in Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Act-2014 and cheated the people in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying to take revenge on N Chandrababu Naidu who had left NDA alliance,’’ he said.

Sivaji said, ``YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena Party  chief Pawan Kalyan colluded with BJP and have been acting as per its direction. The two leaders are trying to tarnish the image of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with the support of Narendra Modi.’’

He further said that discussions were held between JSP and YSRCP in Visakhapatnam recently and JSP demanded YSRCP 50 Assembly seats in the ensuing Assembly elections. JSP chief Pawan Kalyan is not a matured politician, there is no clarity in his speeches and is reading the scripts given by others.

``Pawan Kalyan’s brother Chiranjeevi merged Praja Rajyam Party in Congress and now we have to wait and see whether Pawan runs the party or not?,’’ he pointed out.

The SC, ST Commission Chairman underlined the need to elect Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister again for all-round development of the state and also for the welfare of the people.
