Legal awareness meet held in pithapuram
Pithapuram: Girls should be aware of laws to protect their rights, said Sub-Judge CK Gayatri Devi. She said women have equal rights like men and their rights should be protected.
She inspected the integrated hostel for SC girls, here on Friday. She enquired about the facilities and issues in the hostel.
She also asked whether they are getting the food as per the menu and about the doctor’s visit. Later, she spoke at the legal awareness meeting held on the premises.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that education is must for women. She explained about various sections for the protection of girls and women.
AGP SM Ali, APP D Kiran, Bar treasurer PVSR Murthy, ladies representative M Satyavathi, advocates Saride Nageswara Rao, B yesuratnam, M Srinivasu, K Satyaveni, Satyaveena, wardens Kameswari, Prassanna and others were present.
In Tabita High School, legal awareness meeting was organised under the aegis of additional magistrate Divya. She emphasised that responsibility is also equally important as human rights.
Senior advocate Saka Nageswara Rao organised the legal awareness camp at Kolam village. ATMA chairman Raja Rao and others were present.
