Nagendra takes charge as Kurnool Range DIG

Kurnool: Dadi Nagendra took charge as Kurnool Range DIG here on Friday. Nagendra, who hails from East Godavari district, had joined the police service in 1991.He had served as DSP in Godavarikhani, Kurnool, Ongole and Markapuram. Nagendra was promoted as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the year 2000 and worked in the same capacity in Krishna district.

For 2 years, he also worked as Assistant Director at APPA in Hyderabad. After getting confirmation as IPS, Nagendra served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) at LB Nagar in Hyderabad and Mahabubnagar SP from 2010 to 2012. In 2014, the IPS officer worked as TTD CVSO in Tirupati. In 2017, he was posted as ACB Joint Director in Vijayawada.

Prior to taking charge as Kurnool Range DIG, Nagendra had served as Joint Commissioner of Police at Visakhapatnam. Speaking to the media after taking charge, he expressed happiness over working for second time in the district and vowed to maintain law and order in the region. Kurnool SP Dr Fakeerappa, ASP Madhava Reddy and other police officials met new DIG.
