Yanamala Ramakrishnudu slams YSRCP, BJP for stopping funds to AP State
Vijayawada: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Friday alleged that YSRCP and BJP were creating hurdles in the development of the State. He said the BJP-led NDA government is yet to sanction the budget deficit of Rs 16,000 crore and reimburse Polavaram project costs of Rs 3,200 crore.
The Finance Minister in a statement also said that the BJP government took back Rs 350 crore from the State after allocating it for the development of the backward regions as per the AP Reorganisation Act.
He lamented that Andhra Pradesh was not getting revenue properly even after the GST came into force. He said it was not correct to say that the State government loans had increased drastically after the TDP came to power in 2014.
He reminded that infrastructure development works worth Rs 40,000 crore were taken up in the capital region of Amaravati and road connectivity works to the capital are continuing at a brisk pace. Ramakrishnudu ruled out privatisation of RTC and pointed to recent grant of 42 per cent fitment to staff.
