Stars shine at social media awards

Vijayawada: The second edition of Social Media Summit Awards 2018 concluded on a grand note at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium here on Saturday. The event was organised by the tourism department of Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the gathering, Minister for Tourism Akhila Priya said that hosting the second edition of Social Medial Summit awards programme was the pride of Vijayawada and the government of Andhra Pradesh.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan received Style Icon of the Year award on the occasion. She expressed happiness over receiving the social media award.  
Tollywood actress Samantha received Most Liked South Indian Actress award.

She expressed her joy on receiving the award and said that Amravati was always in news about innovations, development, F1H2o race and cultural activities. Music director Devi Sri Prasad received the Most Popular Musician in South India award at the summit. He gave a live concert on the occasion making the audience erupt in joy.

Pranitha Shubash, Seerat Kapoor, Shubra Aiyappa and Hebah Patel performed on the occasion. Mimicry artist and cine actor Siva Reddy enthralled the audience with his mimicry imitating popular cine actors and political leaders.

The awards night was hosted by Big Boss winner Kaushal Manda and Big Boss fame anchor Syamala. Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, MLC Buddha Venkanna, Women Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari and others were present.
