Prakasam wins fencing tourney overall championship

Ongole: The president of Andhra Pradesh Fencing Association and secretary of the Prakasam District Fencing Association, V Nageswara Rao announced that the 5th State Level Senior and Under 23 Fencing Tournament concluded on Monday at PACE Institute of Technology and Sciences in Ongole.

He said that over 250 fencing players from 13 districts of the state have participated in the tournament. He announced that the Prakasam district team won the overall championship in the tournament while East Godavari team won the second place and Kurnool wins the third place.

The Andhra Pradesh Fencing Association secretary, Nagam Satish Babu, Prakasam district Olympic Association secretary Kurra Bhaskara Rao, Prakasam district fencing association president Balisetty Nageswara Rao, presidents and secretaries from various districts and management of PACE College also participated in the valedictory function.
