Pawan to approach FBI seeking action on Kakinada Sea Ports Company Limited
Kakinada: Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan criticised Kakinada Sea Ports Company Limited [KSPL] managing director K V Rao for unauthorised digging of sand from the naturally formed Hope Island in Kakinada coast.
Addressing media persons at G-Convention Hall here on Thursday, Pawan said that Rao had violated all environmental laws while mining sand which affected the livelihood of thousands of fishermen families along the Kakinada coast.
As K V Rao was the US citizen, Pawan said that he would approach the FBI, the US investigating agency seeking probe into the KSPL. The JSP leader presented a video clipping in support of his allegation and screened it for media persons.
Pawan also came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu and former chief minister YSR for extending support to KV Rao in smooth conduct off this unauthorised activity.
He reminded that the Hope Island stood as natural protector for Kakinada during cyclones and now, the same had been exploited for unauthorised poaching. Party leader N Manohar and senior leader Mutta Gopala Krishna attended the programme.
