Khariff paddy purchase reviewed

Kakinada: East Godavari Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna reviewed the khariff paddy purchase for the year 2018-19 and custom milling for APCSC at a meeting organised at district collectorate here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the JC said that in total 294 paddy centers started in the district to purchase paddy at MSP from farmers.

The JC also said that the paddy cutting in 16 mandals in delta areas has been started and asked the millers to purchase paddy at specified price for custom milling by providing bank guarantees.

Speaking at the meet, District Rice Millers’ Association president A Ramakrishna Reddy sought clarity on GST payable on custom milling rice.

Mallikarjuna clarified that the same procedure followed earlier will be continued this year also.
