HC no exception to work pressure: Judge Praveen Kumar

 Amalapuram: Justice Praveen Kumar of High Court has said that there is work pressure even in the High Court as only 25 judges are working out of 61 judges.

Participating in a seminar conducted by Indian Association of Lawyers on the premises of KIMS Hospital here on Sunday, he said about 3.5 lakh cases were in their purview.

The judicial officers and lawyers should work with coordination to speed up the cases to deliver justice without delay to the litigant public. The people were imposing confidence on the courts with a hope that they would get justice as early as possible and it was our duty to keep it up, he added.

Justice B Shiva Shankar Rao of High Court underlined the need of parents who inculcates the habit of loving country to their children. The advocates should identify the cases which can be addressed in district courts.

Justice N Balayogi of High Court said schedules were being given even on Saturday and Sunday to clear the cases.

Indian Association of Lawyers district president MF Azam presided over the seminar.

Judicial officers N Tukaramji, BSV Himabindu, Association state president MS Rao, members CA Kumar, NR Krishna and others were present.
