Two fishermen hurt in explosion

Guntur: Two fishermen were injured when gelatin sticks kept at Pileruvagu stream exploded while they were going for fishing in Konanki village under Pidiguralla mandal of Guntur on Sunday. According to Guntur Rural SP S V Sekhara Babu, fishermen Kanduluru Tirumala Rao and O Vishnu were injured in the explosion.

Vishnu sustained serious injuries to his eyes and he was shifted to L V Prasad Eye Hospital. Tirumala Rao shifted to the GGH in Guntur city. They are out of danger, according to the doctors. Police said the exact reason for explosion would be known after the completion of investigation.
