Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that the AP government barred involvement of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) only because of its incredibility as internal struggles surfaced within the organisation.

He visited venue of Dharma Porata Deeksha in the city on Monday and said the state government had every right to say no to CBI for its involvement in states. “The Central government had converted the apex investigation agency as a puppet by appointing their henchmen.

The system has been spoiled with internal squabbles and we had simply withdrawn our consent. There are only 9 states across the country have given nod for CBI involvement. Still, there is no consent from Gujarat government from which the Prime Minister belongs,” said the Minister Somireddy. He said they don’t have cases to fear about CBI investigation.

Chandramohan Reddy also said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has succeeded in his efforts in forming an anti-BJP front in the country. The Minister stated that they would keep quiet till they achieve all legitimate rights. Even though the ruling party is fighting against the Centre, opposition parties are simply going hand in hand with Centre ignoring interests of the state.

The Minister said the Dharma Porata Deeksha is going to be held at SVGS grounds in the city on Tuesday and lakhs of people are getting ready to participate in it.  Narayana said they have been arranging waterproof pandals, gallery and also stage for Dharma Porata Deeksha.
