25 lakh voters suspicious in state?

Amaravati: The Election Commission of India is suspecting that more than 25 lakh voters in Andhra Pradesh as bogus. State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) R P Sisodia said that the Election Commission had come to know that there were 25,47,019 electors as bogus in the state. 

Speaking to The Hans India on Tuesday, Sisodia gave the district wise supcious voters summary report, in which the Anantapur was number one with highest number of doubtful votes, followed by Chittoor and Kurnool.

Revealing the district-wise suspicious electoral summary report, the CEO said that Srikakulam 1,23,233, Vizianagaram 1,10,036, Visakhapatnam 2,00,767, East Godavari 20,4370, West Godavari 1,24,085, Krishna 1,12,555, Guntur 2,07,209, Prakasam 1,41,812, Nellore 2,19,763, Kadapa 91,377, Kurnool 3,13,032, Anantapur 3,55,819 and Chittoor 3,42,961, with a grand total dubious votes of 25,47,019.

Sisodia said that verification procedure for all these votes will be completed by December 20. After that, the EC will publish the final revised Electoral Summary Report for the ensuing elections for both Assembly and Lok Sabha. The same electoral rolls will be used for the local body elections, including gram panchayats, zilla parishads, municipalities and corporations.
