Chandrababu Naidu to lay stone for Nakarikallu pump house on Nov 26

Guntur: Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, water resources minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao on Tuesday reviewed arrangements for laying of foundation stone for interlinking of Godavari and Penna rivers and construction of pumphouse at a cost of Rs 6,000 crore by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Nakarikallu in the district on November 26. 

Water will be lifted from Krishna river at Harichandrapuram to Nakarikallu pumphouse in the district. From Nakarikallu, the water will be supplied to Nagarjunasagar right canal ayacut area in Guntur and Prakasam districts. The farmers in Darsi and Addanki areas will get drinking and irrigation water from the project. After reviewing arrangements, the Speaker and the minister made suggestions to the engineering officials for the programme.
