Murder case of 4-yr-old cracked after 3 years
Nellore: Suspecting fidelity of his wife, a man killed his son three years ago where cops demonstrated efficiency to find the accused and heinous act of father. Atmakur DSP Ramanjaneya Reddy revealed on Tuesday that the accused Gangapatla Suresh of Rajavolu of the same mandal admitted his crime that he had killed his own son thinking his wife was having extramarital relationship and conceived him.
According to cops, Suresh married Mamatha from Brahmanakraka village in Jaladanki mandal and the couple were having three children. He was feeling worried about his third son, G Sridhar, 4, whom Suresh has been disliking due to suspicion on character of his wife. Subsequently, Mamatha committed suicide.
After that, Suresh planned on July 5, 2015 to kill his four-year-old son, Sridhar, and strangulated him with a towel and shifted to hospital saying he was attacked by fits. Initially, the boy was shifted to government hospital in Atmakur where doctors advised to avail better treatment in Nellore. He informed to the relatives that he was going to consult specialists in Chennai and killed his son and informed to the doctors in Chennai that the kid crushed himself with a towel.
Doctors also believed his words. He then informed to the relatives that the boy died due to asphyxiation. Since then, he has been wandering here and there and relative of boy’s mother lodged a complaint with the police about heinous act of Suresh and the entire episode came to light. They also cross checked all medical reports and found that it was a clear murder. Cops said the accused voluntarily admitted his crime on Monday.
