AP bags India Today Tourism award

Vijayawada: Tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya said the efforts made by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to promote tourism were giving fruitful results. Akhila Priya received the Best Tourism State award at the India Today conclave summit held in New Delhi on Thursday.

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu presented the award to the minister in a glittering ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Akhila Priya said the Andhra Pradesh government was hosting international events to promote tourism and attract tourists from India and abroad.

She said she was delighted to receive the national award and thanked the organisers for choosing Andhra Pradesh. Tourism department officials attended the event.
