Beneficiaries cross 4 lakh mark
Amaravati: The beneficiaries under the Mukya Mantri Yuvanestam scheme crossed 4 lakh by Thursday, informed Minister for IT N Lokesh, in a press release here.
He said that within 70 days after launching the programme, the number of beneficiaries crossed 4 lakh in number. He claimed that there was no other such government scheme across India, where such massive number of youth being provided financial assistance. He informed that all these four lakh youth will get Unemployment Allowance of Rs 1000 on December 1, 2018.
Lokesh informed that there was no time limit to apply for the benefits under the scheme and all the youth must apply through online portal only. At that same time, he informed that the state government will provide allowance on first of every month for those who applied by 25th of previous month. This exercise will continue forever, till the scheme continues, he added.
He said that the government has decided to encourage women in the state to take the allowance. He said that majority among the applied persons are men and they are getting it, the number is less among women. The minister directed the concerned officials to create awareness among the eligible women to apply for the allowance.
