KL University to host National Science Congress from Dec 2

Vijayawada: KL University will host a two-day 26th National Children’s Science Congress-2018 Andhra Pradesh, ‘Science Expo-2018’ for school children on December 2 and 3. 

The expo will be organised by AP State Council for Science and Technology (APSCST), said the APSCST secretary Krishna Murthy and KLU Vice-Chancellor Dr LSS Reddy here on Thursday. 

Speaking to the media after releasing a poster, they said that about four to five events would be organised at the expo. The expo would be showcased with projects selected by Inspire, National Science Congress, Mobile Planetarium, Agricultural University, SRM, JNTU, ISRO, Nano Technology, DRDL and the selected projects would be given prizes.

They said that Kaushal Quiz programme would be organised for school children at mandal-level on November 30. As many as 1,600 schools would participate from 13 districts of state and the winners would be given prizes on December 3.

The guests on the inaugural day would be AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao, Forest Minister Sidda Raghava Rao, Minister Ayyanna Patrudu and a few other ministers would participate. All arrangements are made for making this prestigious event a grand success, they said.

Forest department OSD D Vidyasagar, KLU Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr A Ram Kumar, Registrar T Umamaheswara Rao and Dr Harikishore were present.
