Competitions in cooking, debate held in Eluru

Eluru: As part of Cultural and Literary Week celebrations at Sir CR Reddy College for Women, competitions were held in cooking and debate on the college premises here on Friday.

A total of 46 girls participated in cooking competition.  S Prasanna secured first prize for preparing Halwa. Second prize was given to Ch Harika for ‘Bobbatlu’. In hot category, R Lalitha bagged first prize for Rolls preparation.

While Wada by G Akhila was given second prize, Purnima grabbed third prize.
T Pujitha, G Keerthi, Phananjali bagged first prize in debate competition held in the afternoon session.

Competitions were also held in painting, rangoli, poetry and fancy dress on Thursday.

T Neelima of B Sc second year stood first in poetry recital followed by A Jyothi and T Gayatri who bagged second prize. The third prize was won by V Harshita and G Ramalakshmi.

As many as 64 students participated in rangoli competition. Ch Priyanka, V Anupama and G Pavani secured first, second and third prizes in the competition.

G Leelavati, M Jayaprada Devi, P Suseela, P Lavanya, Ch Swapna and T Bhavani were the judges of the competitions.
