RTGS not utilised effectively: CEO Ahmad Babu
Amaravati: The Real Time Governance Society CEO Ahmad Babu opined that, even after completing one year of creation of this institution, many government officials have different opinions and they could not effectively utilise the services of the institution.
On the occasion of successfully completing one year of its creation, as on November 24, Ahmad Babu, in a press release on Saturday, said that the state government is aimed to provide good governance through the technology and hence it was started.
He further said that the RTGS has been playing pivotal role in alerting the officials and public at every emergency time by providing real time information.
For instance, the RTGS gave accurate information and warnings about the recent Titli cyclone, which helped the concerned authorities to reduce its effect on the people.
By utilising the services of the RTGS, the department of Civil Supplies has saved around Rs 1600 crore by plugging the loopholes, he said.
Explaining about the achievements of the RTGS, he mentioned that still some of higher officials did not have proper idea about the institution and they have different opinions on it.
