Regular exercise increases mental strength: Minister Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu

Visakhapatnam: Minister for Roads and Buildings Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu inaugurated the Fifth Andhra Pradesh Mini Skating State Open Championship competitions at Narsipatnam on Saturday.
Addressing the skaters, the Minister said that the subject-wise education would enhance the knowledge and the physical exercises would give strong physical strengths and mental ability.
An international skating ring was established in Narsipatnam town about eight months ago and a State-level competition being organised in Narsipatnam giving a boon to the rural Visakhapatnam, the Minister added.
With the advice of the Government Whip and national level volleyball player P V G R Naidu the skating ring was established at a cost of Rs 25 lakh and six coaches also appointed.
As many as 120 skaters are being trained in Narisipatnam, Ayyannapatrudu said.
Anakapalle MP M Srinivasa Rao said that it was for the first time that a State-level competitions being conducted in a small town and he assured that in the future also, various games and sports competitions would be conducted in the rural region.
Government Whip and Visakhapatnam West MLA P V G R Naidu said that Ayyannapatrudu held the Minister for Sports and Games in later NT Rama Rao cabinet and allocated good funds for the development of games and sports in the State. Over 300 skaters are participating in the competition, he added.
Winners: Gold Medal in Artistic Skating: Sathansutha, Visakhapatnam. Best performers: Varshika Reddy, Visakhapatnam and Abhinav from Krishna District.
