Varsities should provide quality teaching to students: Yanamala Ramakrishnudu

Rajamahendravaram: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has assured that he would make all efforts to develop Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) in all fronts. 

He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was very much particular in this regard.

After unveiling the statue of constitutional architect Dr B R Ambedkar in the varsity campus here on Saturday, he said that the government has sanctioned funds to AKNU and Dravida University in Chittoor which are suffering with funds crunch. 

As many as 35,000 contract workers were benefitted with the decision taken by the government, he said. The government will also take a decision relating to outsourcing of employees in the State, he added.

He stated the universities should provide quality teaching to the students to produce experts from various branches and it is the duty of the universities to play a pivotal role in the development of the country. 

SC/ST Commission Chairman Karem Shivaji advised the students to emulate the great leader and scholar Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar. MP Maganti Murali Mohan said merging of Kandukuri educational institutions would be taken to the notice of Chief Minister. 

VC Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu said the government helped a lot to the university to bring as many as 240 colleges under the purview of AKNU and in allotting funds. MLA P Venkatesh, rector PS Varma and registrar Dr S Teki were present.
