KCR boosts morale of TRS cadre in Tandur
Tandur: The success of the public meetings taken up by caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) came as a shot in the arm for the party cadre. Resignations by dissident leaders jolted the party cadre in the district priorto KCR’s tour. Latest former MLA Sanjeeva Rao, Chevella MP Konda Vishweswar Reddy and other important leaders left the party. Rohith Reddy, the contestant from Congress party, also left the TRS leveling criticisms against caretaker Minister Mahender Reddy. KCR’s visitmay even help join the scattered groups of the party, especially in Tandur and Parigi constituencies.
The Tandur meeting was successful, as the venue of 25, 000 capacity was filled with a large gathering. Some had to stand outside the venue to listento KCR’s speech. People from surrounding villages reached the venue by tractors, autos and other transport vehicles. The town was painted in pink, and the party activists took out rallies until the meeting was commenced. Mahender Reddy, who is representing the constituency from the TRS Party, had the chance to deliver his speech from the dais after the arrival of KCR. Party cadre expressed happiness after the success of the first meeting by KCR in the district. Leaders of the party said they would intensify the campaign hereafter with the boost they received from the meeting.
Opponentscall speech damp squib:
The leaders of the opponent parties say that the KCR’s speech had damped the hopes of people who expected a lot from him. Contestant from the Congress Party Rohit Reddy criticised KCR for not uttering a word about the promises he made during the earlier polls. “He did not even mention about establishing Kandi board, industrial area, construction of bypass road and old railway bridge,” Rohit said, and asked how people could trust the TRS party when the old promises were not even fulfilled.
