Vijayawada:  Noted lawyer and TDP leader Musti Srinivas Rao alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, due to political rivalry, was harassing former union minister Sujana Chowdary through raids by the Enforcement Directorate officials.

Addressing the media at his office on Monday, Srinivas demanded the Central government to show which Bank has lodged a complaint against Sujana Chowdary as a defaulter.

He said that Chowdary was paying Income Tax promptly for the last 30 years. He said that the bank loans were being repaid regularly. However, the ED was misleading people as per the directions of the Central government, he alleged.

He questioned the ED as to how they could say Chowdary is a defaulter when the case is not yet closed. He questioned as long as the TDP was in alliance with NDA there was no issue raised against Chowdary.

He further said that with vengeance the Central government was resorting to these baseless things misleading the people of AP, he added.
