Indian Institute of Science Education and Research inks pact with Amara Raja Batteries

Tirupati: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) here has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amara Raja Batteries Limited (ARBL) on Monday. 

Both the parties have agreed to collaborate in several areas. It was decided to participate in the projects in the areas of batteries and energy involving new materials, designs etc., This may also involve access to mutual facilities such as fabricating electrodes for Li-Ion Cell by ARBL and sample analysis through SEM, XRD, DSC etc., by IISER. Amara Raja will provide training for IISER students for their summer project. The MoU is valid for two years and further extension can be done on mutual understanding.

IISER Tirupati Director Prof KN Ganesh has signed the MoU on behalf of IISER while the Vice-President (Technology) Jagadish has signed on behalf of Amara Raja Batteries. 

Dr Venkateshwarlu, Head, R & D, Amararaja, Professor and Chairs of all disciplines of IISER Tirupati, Assistant Registrar Chaman Mehta and Faculty were present on this occasion.
