4 arrested for molesting women

Vijayawada: Four persons were arrested for harassing and molesting a married woman. The incident came to light after the victim filed a complaint with the Penamuluru police.

According to police officials, the victim got married 18 years ago. The couple had two children. Meanwhile, an auto driver, Pratap Kumar became friend with the woman two years ago and later sexually harassed her several times. 

He also threatened to post obscene photos of her on Facebook and blackmailed her into giving him gold and cash.

The accused and his followers Ravi, Ramesh and Ravindra threatened the woman and took 30 grams of gold and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash. Since he was asking for more money, the woman left to her brother's place which is in Kanuru. 

Pratap Kumar learned about her whereabouts and harassed her one more time. He also harmed her for more money.

Then the victim approached the Penamaluru police and lodged a complaint who took the four accused into custody and filed a case against them.
