Free health camp for persons with disabilities on Dec 3
Vijayawada: To mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Anu Hospitals would conduct free health camp on December 3, said orthopaedic surgeon K Durganaga Raju here on Friday.
Addressing the media, Dr Raju said a free health camp for children with disabilities would be organised on December 3 for children born with disabilities, curved legs and hands, cerebral palsy and for children who cannot walk. For children who need surgery, free operation will be performed through NTR Arogyasri.
He said that if the children were treated by specialist at the right time disability can be cured permanently.
He said that children suffering from cerebral palsy can be cured by physiotherapy, Botox injection and operation and the children can lead a normal life, said the doctor.
He further said that latest and advanced medical equipment was available at Anu Hospital.
