AP Govt according top priority to education, technology: Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao

Vijayawada: The 26th National Children’s Science Congress-2018, Andhra Pradesh, ‘Science Expo-2018’ concluded on a grand note here on Monday. The theme of the science expo was ‘Technology and inventions for the Clean, Green and Healthy country’.

AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, who was the chief guest on the concluding day, said "The green environment is welcoming us the moment we enter KLU campus. “

The government schools are competing with private schools and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is giving top priority to education and technology though the State is facing financial difficulties, the Speaker said. The government introduced digital classrooms, he said.

Stating that the youth are the backbone of the country, he said India has the largest youth population in the world. He said the students' talent can only be recognised by teachers and if people achieved recognition at the international level it only means that they had good basic education at the school level.

LSS Reddy, Vice-President of KLU, said about 17 projects were selected from 167 projects and these selected projects will be sent to national-level competitions in Bhubaneswar. He expressed happiness after seeing the exhibition and the projects of the students.

He also suggested to students to work hard to get a good reputation at the national competitions in Bhubaneswar. Prizes were distributed to the winners on the occasion.
