Singapore polytechnic team visits CCVA
Vijayawada: A team from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore and Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) on Monday.
Fook Yen Chong, Social Sector Specialist, Human and Social Development Division, Asian Development Bank, Sally Chew, Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public and Advisor, Transboundary Connections and Legal Matters, Samuel Ang, Director, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Lee Chee Wee, Technology Advisor, Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore evinced keen interest on the activities of CCVA.
Y Harish Chandra Prasad, Founder and Chief Mentor, CCVA briefed the team on the aims and objectives of the Cultural Centre and series of activities taken up by it, including promoting arts, crafts, culture and traditions, International Multilingual Poets Meet (Amaravati Poetic Prism), Monthly Dance programme (Natyasravanti) and the most popular state wide campaign launched by CCVA called ‘Preserve Heritage for Posterity’ through which more than 225 neglected archaeological sites, monuments, inscriptions and sculptures were identified and sensitized the local communities in preserving them.
Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, CEO, CCVA, Sandeep Mandava, CEO, MPVL and India Xtreme Adventure Activities Pvt Ltd., participated in the programme.
The Singapore team expressed their interest to sign MoU with CCVA and explore the possibility of talking up cultural exchange programmes.
