Traffic curbs in city for Navy Day fete
Visakhapatnam: In the wake of Navy Day celebrations, the city police has imposed traffic restrictions on motorists going towards RK Beach between 1 pm and 8 pm for the Naval operations display on December 3 and 4 on the Beach road in the city. Even the police restricted the APSRTC buses on the beach road for the event.
The public who is coming to watch the operations display from Siripuram junction and CR Reddy side on vehicles have to go through the Andhra University High School road and park their vehicles in the parking area allocated at AU exhibition grounds or APIIC ground and walk down to Beach road.
Vehicles coming from Park Hotel junction side and Chinna Waltair have to reach the venue through the road near Cyclone warning centre and park their vehicles at YMCA parking area and parking places available around police mess.
Cars will have to be parked in a single line on the city side and the two-wheelers would have to be parked in a single line on the beach side. The public who are coming from Collectorate down have to park their vehicles at Gokul Park and those coming from Zilla Parishad junction and Pandimetta area side would have to reach Novotel down, take a right turn and park their vehicles at the designated parking slots near Gokul Park.
The vehicles with pink coloured Navy Day parking passes will only be allowed to come via CR Reddy Circle and AIR junction towards Pandurangapuram down and NTR statue side. The vehicles will not be allowed to park on the Beach road between NTR statue and Novotel junction. While the green coloured vehicles should come along AIR station and park their vehicles at APIIC grounds.
