Home Guards important part of police: SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu

Ongole: Prakasam district SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu has said that the home guards are an important auxiliary force in the police department and they are rendering their services in all divisions equally with the regular police constables.

He participated in the 56th Home Guards Rising Day celebrations at the police parade grounds in Ongole on Thursday.

After receiving the guards of honor, the SP said in his speech that the government has recognized the services of the home guards, who are working in law and order, traffic, prevention of crime duties along with the constables, and increased their salary to Rs 18,000 and sanctioned two paid leaves per month, along with three months maternity leave for the women. 

He said that the turn duties for the home guards are cancelled and made the home guards work in their respective sub divisions only. 

He said that there are a number of talented home guards, who are serving the department as drivers in MT section, crime, traffic, eCops, CCTNS, IT Core divisions also. He announced that 10 people are recruited from the families of home guards on compassionate grounds this year.

The SP appreciated the parade done by the home guards under the commandership of K Surendra from Chirala unit and asked them to continue the service with discipline and dedication.

The AR Additional SP, T Sivareddy flagged off the rally of home guards from the police parade grounds.

About 56 home guards donated blood in the camp organised at the police kalyanamandapam. 

The Admin Additional SP K Lavanya Lakshmi, Ongole DSP P Radhesh Murali, AR DSP Raghavendra Rao, RI Home Guards D Isaac and other officials also participated in the programme.
