Update: 2018-12-06 05:30 IST

Anantapur: Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has stated that his party will contest from all 175 Assembly  and all Lok Sabha constituencies in AP in the 2019 elections.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Pawan Kalyan stated that by contesting in all the constituencies, the party will know it’s real strength. Besides, it will give an opportunity to develop leadership at the constituency level. ``This time we are not bothered about gains and losses as we are here for a long political journey  irrespective of the outcome of the 2019 elections,’’ he said.

He said that the Assembly constituency from which he will contest will be known in January or February. It is to be noted that in his previous visit, he had said that he would contest from Anantapur.  Referring to Jaganmohan Reddy's comments that he will not recognise JSP to be an opposition party, Pawan Kalyan said that JSP does not require a certificate from Jaganmohan Reddy.

To a question, Pawan Kalyan replied that even if all the YCRCP MLAs deserted and if Jaganmohan Reddy was left alone, he should attend the Assembly and expose the defectors and those who encouraged defections.

Pointing to former minister Ravella Kishore Babu bho joined his party, the JSP chief said that Kishore Babu had resigned from TDP and as MLA and then joined the JSP. That is the way one should act when he decides to change the party. He further said that nobody knew the seriousness of the kidney problems of people in Uddanam in Srikakulam district until he exposed the situation.

Same is the case with drought in Anantapur. ``Only after I visited the district did I can understand the problem. The drought situation is very severe and this is triggering mass migration,’’ Pawan Kalyan said.

``The Chief Minister should send farmers to Israel for exposure visits to learn how technology changed the face of the desert country. The State government has no calendar for water supply  and farmers in the district have no idea when they can get water and when to go for seedling etc,’’ he pointed out.

On the HNSS project of bringing Krishna water to Anantapur, Pawan Kalyan said that water is not being distributed to places on a scientific manner but political leaders were using their influence to get more water to their constituencies, as a result certain needy areas are not getting water. He said that the spending of Rs.300 crore on supplying 24,000 Rain Guns ended up as a big farce.

Pawan said that if Jana Sena is voted to power, it will formulate an action plan for 10-25 years to remove drought conditions in the district. Former Speaker of AP Assembly Nadendla Manohar and former minister Ravella Kishore Babu were present at the press conference.
