Mother Teresa National Fellowship Awards-2018 presented in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: People should take Mother Teresa as a role model in serving the needy in society and strive for the nation without age, gender and cast barriers, said Philip C Tochar, MLA, Guntur. He was the chief guest at Mother Teresa National Fellowship Awards-2018 programme organised by the Philanthropic Society. He felicitated a few eminent social workers in both the Telugu speaking states here on Wednesday.

He appealed to the socially responsible persons to come forward and support the government to do better services to society. He appreciated Addanki Raja Yona, founder of Philanthropic Society for recognising talented and service-oriented people from society and honouring them. AP Non-Resident Telugu Society, an entity of the Government of AP and Society of Awakening Individual (SAI) Organisation of Ananthapur were selected for the Mother Teresa National Fellowship title award- 2018 and Chappidi Rajashekar, Director, APNRT, and  Y Sai Kumar received the awards representing their organisations from MLA Philp C Tocher.

The individual social service award winners were Dr B Swarooparani, Hyderabad, M Rajavardhan Gupta, Hyderabad, J Vijay Kumar, Vishakhapatnam, Dr Kiran Kumar Nese, Kadapa, Dr Jorge Mullar Bokka, Nandigama Krishna District, Dr P Siva kumar, Guntur, M Hanuman Raju, Munagalapalli, Krishna District.

Rev Dr K Samrat, Ongole, Rev M Samule Shekhar, Podili, Prakasam District,  Kondeti Siva, Duvva, West Godavari District, U Prasanna Kumar, Tanuku, West Godavari District received the awards from the Chief Guest.   APMRPS, State Vice-president,  M Suresh Kumar, Poet Yadavalli Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
