He stated that natural farming is easier and farmers can practise it without investment. They can prepare fertilisers and insecticides on their own by using cow dung, cow urine and herbal extracts. The farmers are habituated to use huge quantity of chemical fertilisers and pesticides for the past some decades.

During 1960s, it was essential to use the chemicals to increase the yield and productivity to meet the food demand.  But now, we need to change our mindset and farming methods to save our soil, water and environment, By consuming the naturally produced vegetables, fruits and grains our health will be protected,’’ he said.

The intention of the government is to expand this system to entire State and to reduce the input expenditure. Dr D Pari Naidu, founder of Jattu Trust stated that natural farming is easier and better way to minimise the farm expenditure and to produce healthier fruits, vegetables and grains. JD Agriculture GSNS Leelavathi, DPM, K Prakash and others participated in the programme.
