ONGC officials pay tributes to Ambedkar

  Rajamahendravaram: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Rajamahendravaram Asset executive director DMR Sekhar along with asset staff paid homage to Dr BR Ambedkar by garlanding his statue at base complex here on Thursday.

Later, inaugurating mega blood camp at base complex, DMR Sekhar said that Dr BR Ambedkar drafted Indian Constitution which is having universal values of justice, equality, fraternity, liberty etc which is guiding the nation. Indian Constitution is providing guidelines for an inclusive, dignity-protecting and freedom-sensitive society by keeping Indian citizens united.

Referring to the contributions of Dr BR Ambedkar in the domains of governance, women rights and equality, economic theories, philosophy of religion, he said he was widely accepted as global citizen.

Earlier, OOMS president Durga Bhavani exhorted the college students to shun watching movies and TV serials which ridicule women, contain eve-teasing content and instead read the works of great personalities such as Thanthai Periyar and Dr Ambedkar.

ONGC personnel A Satyanarayana, BP Rao, E Vijay Paul, Krishnam Raju, M Suresh, RK Nayak and others were present.
