Dentists told to improve professional skills

Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) Chairman Ganni Krishna advised dentists to enhance their professional skills to suit the prevailing needs in the society.  To provide quality medical aid and compete with their counterparts, it is inevitable for dentists to horn their skills, he said. 

Inaugurating 39th Andhra Pradesh Dental Conference at Cherukuri Convention Hall here on Friday, the Guda chief said the conferences helps to know new things and also useful to exchange views among medical fraternity of dentists. Awareness increased in the society on dental related aid, when compared to earlier days.  

Many students are showing interest to study dental courses and dental colleges in private sector are coming up in addition to those in government sector. The dentists should extend quality medical aid to the patients to infuse confidence among them. Without enhancing advanced knowledge in the dental field, it is not possible to compete with others, he stated.

Indian Dental Association (IDA) AP chapter president Dr B Sudhakar Raju said the association is putting its endeavour to enhance the skills of dentists in the State and giving guidance relating to developed technology in the field.

Conference Organising chairman Dr K Murali Mohan Rao said IDA Rajamahendravaram branch is hosting the State level conference for the first time in which about 2,000 dentists and students are expected to participate. In addition, an expo will also be arranged with 80 stalls and the dentists can see variety of dental medical equipment and also purchase them, he said.
