150 VVIT students donate blood

 Vijayawada: Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Nambur, under the aegis of its NSS wing conducted a blood donation camp at VVIT jointly with HDFC & Rainbow Hospitals, Guntur on Friday as a part of its activities to serve the society. 

Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, Chairman of VIVA-VVIT Institutions, informed that V Naga Sridhar Rao, Narasaraopet Cluster Head, Assistant Vice-President, Whole-sale Banking Operations, HDFC Bank, Guntur and Kanneganti Venkateswarlu, Chairman of Kanneganti Foundation were along the VVIT NSS unit organised the event. 

The entire blood donation camp was organised under the technical supervision of Dr D Neelima, T Roja Ramani and T Naveen Chakravarthy, Administrator of Rainbow Hospitals. The organisers informed that around 150 students participated in the event. 

The officials from HDFC distributed fruits, bread and gifts to donors. On this occasion, Vasireddy Vidya Sagar mentioned that they were conducting awareness camps on blood donation regularly among people. 

Sagar informed that their NSS volunteers always inspire people about the importance of blood donation and conducting several health camps and awareness camps for the benefit of society especially rural people. 

The delegates commended the efforts of VVIT NSS wing for organising this kind of blood donation camp. VVIT-NSS Programme Officer ILJ Bhakth Singh was also present.
