Goddess gives darshan in Mohini avatar

Tirupati:   On the fifth day of ongoing Karthika Brahmotsavams of  Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple, Goddess rode on palanquin as celestial enchantress, Jagan Mohini, on Saturday. Holding Amrutha Kalasa in a hand, the Goddess was seated elegantly in all Her splendour to bless the devotees. The celestial event was marked by Kolatas, Chakka bhajans and holy drum beats on the Mada streets as devotees were thrilled by darshan of their beloved deity and offered coconuts and harati with utmost devotion. 

Snapanam performed: Earlier in the morning, Snapana Thirumanjanam was performed to the Utsava idol of Goddess Padmavati with turmeric, milk, sandal paste, curd, honey, coconut water and the Ammavaru was specially and artistically decorated. TTD EO AK Singhal, Tirupati JEO  P Bhaskar, CVSO  Gopinath Jatti, ACVSO Sivakumar Reddy and DyEO Jhansi Rani were present.
