Chandrababu Naidu to erect first gate on Dec 17

Vijayawada: Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao said that the first gate would be erected to the Polavaram dam formally by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on December 17. The Minister inaugurated a community hall at Reddygudem in Mylavaram constituency in Krishna district on Tuesday. He said that totally 48 gates would be erected at the project.

On this occasion, he said that the project would be completed as per the schedule. The Minister also said that nearly 3.5 lakh people visited the project so far. He further said that the farming community could secure more yields if water is released as per schedule.
