KIMS conducts risky aortic valve replacement
Ongole: The management of KIMS Hospital in Ongole announced that their doctors team performed a risky surgery to replace the aortic valve in the heart of an aged person suffering with lifestyle diseases.
The management said that the cardiologist Dr Shyam Krishna Ashok diagnosed Shaik Mastan of Gopal Nagar in Ongole, who joined KIMS with chest pain and fatigue.
After conducting the Angiogram and 2D Echo they found that the heart is weak and the valves are damaged. To save the man, the doctors performed the complex and risky surgery of replacing aortic valve with an artificial valve along with bypassing two valves in the heart.
The doctors announced that the surgery took six hours of time, but the patient is completely recovered and his family is happy with his progress.
The hospital executive director T Giri Naidu said that they are receiving tremendous response from the locals as they are conducting complex and risky surgeries in Ongole with latest technologies, making it convenient for them to not go anywhere.
The general manager Satuluri Narasimha Murthy announced that the hospital received permissions to conduct heart and kidney transplantations also.
He appreciated the cardiology team, who completed 50 plus surgeries in a short span of time.
He said that they are honoring all insurance cards, Dr NTR Vaidyaseva, EHS, WJHS, BSNL, APSRTC health plans also. The cardiologists Dr Sridhar, Dr Harish, anesthetist Dr Venkat and others also participated in the programme.
