Andhra Pradesh: Cyclone to get intensified due to deep depression

The deep depression over southeast Bay of Bengal is moving west-northwestwards by Saturday afternoon. The system is slowly moving at a speed of 11-km. The lay centered about 470-km east-northeast of Trincomalee of Sri Lanka, 730-km east-southeast of Chennai of Tamil Nadu and 930-km south-southeast of Machilipatnam of Andhra Pradesh.
According to Indian Meteorological scientists, the system is very likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm by Saturday night. It is likely to intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm by Sunday afternoon and expected to cross Andhra Pradesh coast between Ongole and Kakinada on December 17.
