Chandrababu Naidu to inaugurate 120 cr worth works in Tirupati next month: Minister N Amaranatha Reddy
Tirupati: Minister N Amaranatha Reddy said that Rs 120 crore worth smart city projects will be inaugurated by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu next month here. The Minister held a review meeting with officials of the TUDA and MCT here on Friday over the smart city development project works to know the work progress.
Earlier, he inspected the ongoing smart city works at Prakasam Park and Nehru Municipal High School grounds. After completion of the review meeting, speaking to the media, the Minister said both State and Central governments have taken up smart city works for Tirupati city development.
The Minister said temple city stands at 4th place in most liveable cities of India. He stated that Chandrababu is giving top priority for providing better amenities to the city residents.
A total of Rs 1,900 crore worth smart city works were in tender stage, he said and added setting up CCTVs across the city are in progress. In addition, a 600-metre escalator project would be set up shortly from railway station to RTC bus stand for the convenience of pilgrims and commuters. In the meeting, MCT Commissioner V Vijaya Rama Raju, Tirupati MLA Suguna, TUDA Chairman Narasimha Yadav and others were present.
