BJP to finalise Kapu reservation issue soon

Vijayawada: The Kapu wing leaders of the BJP State unit said that Union Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh and party national president Amit Shah gave assurance to their delegation that the reservation for Kapus will be sorted out before the forthcoming elections.

BJP State secretary Adapa Nagendra and Krishna district Kapu JAC president Mallellamudi Pitchaih said that the BJP was committed to development of Andhra Pradesh and backward classes welfare.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, they said that they met BJP bigwigs in their recent New Delhi trip along with BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana and former Union Minister D Purandeswari.

On the occasion, they brought Kapu reservation bill issue to the notice of Home Minister Rajnath Singh. 

The minister reacted positively to the issue and instructed the officials concerned to send the file immediately to sort-out the issue. 

They said that the Kapus would never forget the BJP for its commitment towards BC reservation to Kapus. 

They also said that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan also did his level best in favour of Kapus. 

Other Kapu leaders Akkala Gandhi, NS Raju, Surisetty Varaprasad, Badita Padma, K Ganesh, Akula Jayaprada and Mekala Jayalakshmi were present.
