Police grill YSRCP leader Jogi Ramesh
Guntur: Guntur West DSP A Saumylatha grilled YSRCP Krishna district official spokesman and former MLA Jogi Ramesh for four hours between 11 am and 4 pm at Nallapadu Police Station on Saturday in connection with his allegations that J Srinivasa Rao who attacked Y S Jaganmohan Reddy with a knife at Vizag Airport was TDP activist and that he had possessed membership in TDP. He had made the allegation during a press conference in Krishna district and also posted the same in the social media.
TDP State secretary Varla Ramaiah lodged a complaint against Ramesh on November 2 at Arundelpet Police Station and demanded action against him for lowering the image of the TDP. Arundelpet police questioned Jogi Ramesh on November 15 and posted the case to December 15 at Nallapadu PS. Police now posted the case again to January 21 and directed him to be present at Arundelpet Police Station for further questioning to get more information.
Addressing the media at Nallapadu PS, Jogi Ramesh said the TDP government was harassing him because as he belonged to the BC community and stated that he did not commit any mistake. He said the announcement he had made during a press conference later went viral in the social media. He said that voters taught a lesson to the TDP in TS Assembly elections and same result will repeat in AP also. He said that he would extend cooperation for investigation. Arundelpet CI K Srinivasa Rao and other police officers were present.
